A Truth as Old as Stone

Chuck Wildbeari

Within a circle of new friends, ancient friends
It is still just to each their own
To find the truth, and carve it, in stone.
It’s like the whole world swimming in the ocean
When come the waves - we all must face this life
And loves return - the lessons learned
The sorrow, joy and strife.
So, in a common we bond
The will to prosper on ... this stone, it seems to know my name
And I know for you this is true
For I feel we feel the same
So when the circle disperses
And sorrow may set in
Remember the circle that has always been
An ancient love of long lost friends
No need to feel alone
For together, we are on the path of our truth
And carving it, in stone.
