Out here on the coast there haven't been many of us Mac users. But that's starting to change because a lot more people now are buying Macs (see report). So I am offering a part-time service to help people fix problems and to explore new opportunities. I have a broad and solid background and can probably help at least a little. If you are a Windows/Vista user I can help with internet and general computing matters, but only limited support for windows-specific issues.
Simple field level support is available for immediate problems. For complex issues I may need to refer you to a repair facility or other resource. See resource links page. Understanding the problem usually simplifies the solution, and I can help with that in most cases.
A good computer and access to the internet opens many possibilities. You can use my knowledge and skills to help you improve your operations and get more things done.
You probably want to learn more about using the internet with your Mac and getting the most out of it. And I enjoy sharing what I have learned and helping people acquire new skills and knowledge. I have a bit of a teaching background and offer individualized lessons and presentations. As Aristotle said, "Education is the best provision for old age."
Professional services $60 per hour. House calls OK. Arrangements for phone and Email support. I work out of a home office.
Casual services $30 per hour for home user with simple, non-critical issues. Discounts for students, starving artists, and others broke for a good cause. Trades considered.

I have owned Apple computers since the beginning. Over the years I have worked for a variety of companies as a developer, analyst, and consultant involving information systems and technology. I have developed web sites, databases, information systems and business practices. I have a masters in psychology and the working equivalent in computer science. Now, in retirement, I spend part time helping people use the internet from their computer and am involved in the art community as a stone sculptor.
